Phil Robertson is an attention seeking moron

OK, I have to say this – Phil Robertson is an attention seeking moron. Boy I feel better. Now for all of my Facebook friends who are posting and sharing all this crap about supporting him, I know that 99% of you would never pick up a copy of GQ magazine and have not read the article. You blindly just post this stuff thinking you know something about what he said. Damn it people, read the article. Regarding gays, he said “They’re full of murder, envy strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant God-haters. They are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless. They invent ways of doing evil.” He also said that blacks in his home state were living just fine and were happy in the times of Jim Crow laws. Phil shared, “I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person.” In the fields “they’re singing and happy…no one was singing the blues.” What planet was he living on? Maybe he is just reliving Uncle Remus and Songs of the South over and over in his head?

I know that many of my friends are also friends with gays and blacks…is lining yourself up with this crap really how you want these friends to think you feel?

And please get off the freedom of speech issue, it has nothing to do with this. If you disagree please explain to me how his freedom of speech is being abridged. He said what he said and can say it again. I don’t see Congress or any part of the government trying to stop him (which is who the amendment would refer to). A&E, its owners and staff also have these same freedoms and are free not to give him a forum if they decide not to.
